My Professional Background

I have considerable experience in all transactional property-related cases, dealing with sales, purchases, remortgages, shared equity, transfers and legal titles, as well as matrimonial conveyancing. Like all my team, I am deeply committed to going the extra mile on behalf of my clients and providing a first-class service.

Having gained my Law degree and LSF, I undertook my articles at Overbury Steward & Eaton Solicitors in Norwich. I joined another local Harlow firm in 1995 and became a Partner at Attwaters in 2009, where I am the Head of the Residential Property department.

I am married to Joanne who is also a Partner of the practice in the Medical Negligence department.

About me

As a rugby devotee, I’m pleased to say that I was born in the same hospital as Will Carling – the ex-England rugby captain – in the lovely market town of Bradford on Avon.

I now live in Sawbridgeworth with my wife and two young boys, who we are both immensely proud of. Sawbridgeworth is a fantastic place to live – it has a real community spirit and is a marvellous place to bring up young children. I’ve worked in Essex for the last 22 years and could not think of a better place to work.

Outside of the office, I have played rugby since an early age, having represented the Scottish Exiles rugby district in my younger days. I now play for Harlow Vets XV, which my sons call the Oppy Doppy team. I also coach the Harlow Rugby Minis. I regularly play golf and have organised several charity golf days including a sunrise to sunset event, playing 72 undulating holes and raising over £1600 for the Brain & Spine Foundation. I also enjoy my role as a Governor of The Leventhorpe School, Sawbridgeworth.

My favourite food is curry and I like to drink real ale. Aside from golf and rugby, I also enjoy football. I would have loved to have been able to play rugby professionally. If I was on a desert island, I would like to have my boys with me.
