Inquests

One of the particular areas of expertise offered by our medical negligence team is in respect of Inquests held following the death of a patient from alleged negligent medical treatment or care.

We have substantial experience of dealing with Inquests, both helping families prepare for the Inquest hearing and/or representing them at the hearing itself. This can help reduce the burden on the deceased’s family and allows the difficult questions they may have regarding the medical treatment to be fully investigated and addressed.

We can help you conduct investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death, obtain all the relevant medical records and other documents and seek independent medical evidence, if required, before then representing you at the Inquest hearing.

You may wish to seek our assistance for the Inquest in preparation for a potential clinical or medical negligence claim. Alternatively, you may simply wish us to represent you at the Inquest without necessarily then pursuing a separate medical negligence claim.
