Mary joined Attwaters in 2000. She qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1977 and then went on to train as a Midwife in 1981. She has worked in a variety of different specialities, including ITU, Practice Nursing & Neurology. Since being with Attwaters, she has also completed Level 3 Professional Diploma in Law. Mary works predominantly in the Medical Negligence Dept, though she also assists in the Personal Injury department.
Areas of Practice
As one of the first Medico-legal Advisers to work for the firm, Mary has developed her role to play an essential part in the Medical Negligence Team. Her responsibilities include liaison with clients and experts, and the assessment of medical records to determine the merits of a claim. She also acts as a resource for the legal team, assisting with their various cases.
Mary has maintained her Professional Membership with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.

Interests
Mary is a volunteer with the patient safety charity, Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA) and works on their Advice Helpline. She also enjoys travel, history, cooking and dancing.
